San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition: Dutton-Goldfield

We’re pleased to share results from the latest San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition, where Dutton-Goldfield wines earned a strong showing across Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, with awards spanning Silver to Double Gold.

These results highlight both the depth of our Russian River Valley portfolio and the strength of our newest releases. Our 2024 Russian River Valley Chardonnay received Gold, affirming the direction of this refreshed, appellation-driven bottling, while our 2024 Russian River Valley Pinot Noir was awarded Double Gold, underscoring its quality and promise as our newest wholesale-focused Pinot Noir.

Single-vineyard and estate-driven wines also performed exceptionally well. Emerald Ridge Pinot Noir (Green Valley of Russian River Valley) earned Gold, reinforcing its reputation as one of our benchmark cool-climate sites. Our Dutton Ranch Pinot Noir and Dutton Ranch Chardonnay were both recognized, demonstrating consistency and value across our core lineup, while Walker Hill Chardonnay continued its strong track record with a Silver award.

Altogether, these results reflect what we strive for every vintage: site-driven wines with balance, energy, and a clear sense of place, whether they’re headed for restaurant lists, retail shelves, or your table at home.
