UPCOMING VINTAGES
The 2010 season continues unseasonably cool and
foggy, even by Russian River Valley standards. As a result,
veraison is several weeks behind schedule, so we're all looking
for a nice long, rain-free fall that will allow us to continue
ripening and hopefully pick fruit beginning in late September
(we usually start right after Labor Day, for comparison). With
luck, we'll get the grapes all in before the rain, and before
we want to sit down and relax over a Thankgiving meal!
In the cellar, we're getting ready to bottle the first of our
2009 vintage wines. We'll be releasing the 2009 Dutton Ranch
Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in spring of 2011, then follow up
with the single-vineyards next fall.
